Kristin Bengtsson

Kristin Bengtsson ( born January 12, 1970 in Stockholm ), called " Kicki ", is a Swedish football player. With two awards in 1994 and 2004, it is a record title holder of the diamond Bollen, the award of the best player of the year in Sweden. It is one of the most successful players in the history of Swedish football and played several years in the first Swedish League Damallsvenskan.

Career

Bengtsson began at the age of seven years with the football games. My first club was IFK Viksjö, where they remained for ten years. Later, she played for Landvetter IF, IF and Malmö FF Dam Öxabäck in the Damallsvenskan. Then she tried the Japanese club Suzuyo Shimitzu in Athene Moss in Norway and the U.S. teams and Carolina Courage San Diego Spirit abroad.

Upon her return Bengtsson ran again for Malmö FF Dam and Kopparbergs / Landvetter IF. From the season 2004 she ran on for Djurgården / Älvsjö and celebrated in their first year at the club the Swedish meiser title. After four years she moved in 2008 to Hammarby IF.

A total of 157 appearances for Sweden Kristin Bengtsson participated in three World Cups and European Championships, and two Olympics. In 2003, she was part of the team that won the World Championship at the World Championships in the USA. At 33 years and 273 days, it is the oldest player who was previously in a World Cup final. 2009, she was the sole record national of Sweden until March 9, was then overtaken by Victoria Svensson and replaced on 11 March 2009 from her.
