Kruså [ kʀuso ː ʔ ] ( German Krusau ) is a Danish village on the border with Germany. It belongs to the municipality of Bov (German construction) and is therefore part of Aabenraa Kommune.

Nucleus of the village is 1964 disused watermill on Mühlensee ( Møllesø ). The place is located six kilometers north of the center of Flensburg in Kruså - Tunneldal and is the last stop of the cross-border line 1 of the active bus Flensburg.

Importance was the place through the demarcation of 1920. Though Kruså was from neighboring copper mill and the southern hinterland separated, but it evolved from then to a shop. 2004 but the supermarket RITA was closed, so that the result still only smaller restaurants and shops exist. Flea markets and bingo evenings are carried out in the bingo hall Kruså.

The production facility Kruså the Danish- Swedish food company Arla was expanded in 2010 and is the largest economic factor in place. Another economic mainstay is the campsite. Until the completion of the motorway 7 (E 45) Kruså copper mill was the most important German - Danish border crossing. Today, this transition is closed to heavy traffic and the majority of border traffic flows through the border crossing Padborg and the motorway junction Ellund / Frøslev.

The nearest major Danish cities are Aabenraa ( Aabenraa ) in the north, Sønderborg ( Sonderborg ) in the east and Tønder ( Tønder ) in the west. The road Fjordvejen of Kruså after Rinkenæs with the places Kollund and Sønderhav is scenic and a section of the Marguerite Route.

By Kruså the Gendarmstien hiking, a former control path, patrolled the Danish Gendarme 1920-1958 at the German -Danish border runs. The European long-distance path E1 crosses in Kruså the border.

During the Second World War, the border crossing between Germany and Denmark was secured with a loaded timber wagons standing on a short rail section. This car could roll when needed on the road.

It lead several bike trails through remote Kruså: The national long distance cycle DK8, the Border Route and the North and Baltic Sea Cycle Route.
