Krzeszówek

Krzeszówek ( New German ) is a village in the rural community Kamiennogórska ( Landeshut ) in the powiat Kamiennogórski in the Province of Lower Silesia in Poland.

Geography

Krzeszówek located nine kilometers southeast of Kamiennogórska in the valley of the brook Zadrna ( Zieder ). Neighboring towns are Czarny Bór and Grzędy in the northeast, Unisław Slaski in the east, Kochanów and Gorzeszów the southeast, Jawiszów ( Kleinhennersdorf ) and Chełmsko Śląskie in the south, Ulanowice - Podlesie and Lubawka in the southwest and Krzeszów and Przedwojów ( Reich Henner village) in the northwest.

History

It is believed the first Benedictine Provost Grüssau, which was founded in 1242 by monks from the monastery Bohemian Opatowitz, have stood near new. This place was first called " Grissobor " ( Grüssau ), and after development of the settlement to the 1292 -founded Cistercian monastery the place name Grissobor there was gone. Old records describe a new still from the 14th to the 16th century as " antiquarian Gryssow " (Alt Grüssau ). The parish church of new stands today under the patronage of St.. Lawrence, to the Benedictine priory was dedicated.

New or " Old Grüssau " was one belonging of nearly 40 villages of the monastery Grüssau pin country. As part of the Duchy of Schweidnitz it fell together with it in 1392 to the Crown of Bohemia. In 1426 it was sacked by Hussite troops. As a result of the First Silesian War, it coincided with Silesia to Prussia in 1742. 1810, the monastery was secularized. After the reorganization of Prussia in 1815 it was part of the province of Silesia and was from 1816 to the district of Landshut. In 1899 it received following the breakpoint Grüssau on the railway line Landeshut albums village. Since 1874 a new part of the District Kleinhennersdorf. In 1939 it counted 430 inhabitants.

As a result of the Second World War was new in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Krzeszówek. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland, which had fallen to the Soviet Union. 1975-1998 belonged to Krzeszówek Voivodeship Jelenia Gora. 2010 102 inhabitants were counted in Krzeszówek.

Attractions

  • The Catholic Church of St. Lawrence Branch was established in 1362 by the monastery Grüssau, 1588-1595 rebuilt by Abbot Kaspar Ebert and expanded. Beginning of the 18th century the church received a rich Baroque interior. The main altar with carved figures of St. Joseph, Anna, Catherine and Barbara was transferred here after 1728 from the Grüssau monastery church. It was created by the sculptor Georg Schroetter, from whose workshop also originate the side altars. The Adoration of the Magi fresco in the chapel is from the 4th quarter of the 16th century. The late Gothic Crucifixion group in the side aisle dates from the mid 15th century. It was originally located at the Triumph bar Grüssau the monastery church. The Gothic Schutzmantelmadonna from the first half of the 15th century was transferred to the rectory Grüssau.
  • The baroque parish house with mansard roof has two floors. It was 1733.
