Kuji (Iwate)
Kuji (Japanese久 慈 市, -shi ) is a city in Iwate Prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.
History
The city of Kuji was on November 3, 1954 from the former municipalities Kuji (久 慈 町, -chō ) and Osauchi (长 内 町, -chō ), as well as the villages Okawame (大川 目 村, -mura ), Natsui (夏井村, -mura ), Samuraihama (侍 浜 村, -mura ), Ube (宇 村, -mura ) and Yamane (山根 村, -mura ) of the district Kunohe founded部.
Geography
Kuji is located north of Morioka and Hachinohe south of the Pacific.
