Kumbhalgarh

Kumbhalgarh (Hindi: कुंभलगढ़ or कुम्भलगढ़, kumbhalagaṛh ) or Kumbhalmer is the name of a fortress from the 16th century in the north- western Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located 64 kilometers northwest of the city of Udaipur on a mountain ridge 914 meters above sea level in the Aravalligebirge.

The facility is surrounded by an approximately 36 km long, 12 meters high on average and 8 meters thick wall. Within these walls you will find many buildings, temples, former residences and a former princely palace. The buildings are partially distributed over several hills at a greater distance from each other. From higher temples and especially from the upper floors of the palace offers an impressive view of the surrounding wooded hills. It was built by Rana Kumbha the fortress 1443-58.

The temple complex comprises 360 temples, including a Ganesha Temple and Hanuman Temple.
