Kurtis McLean

Kurtis McLean ( born November 2, 1980 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 at the Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

McLean was initially for the Durham Huskies in a local Canadian junior league active before it ran aground in 1999 in the jersey of the Trenton Sting of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Following this time the Canadians studied from 2001 to 2005 at the Norwich University and went for the ice hockey team in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association on the ice. McLean, who was never drafted, was taken on 29 September 2005 as a free agent by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League contract. The following two seasons played center forward in both the Dress the Baby Pens as well as in some parts of their farm team, the Wheeling Nailers, from the ECHL.
