Lalla Ward

Lalla Ward ( born June 28, 1951 in London, England, as Sarah Ward) is a British actress, illustrator and author.

Life

From 1967 to 1970 Lalla Ward attended the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Then she played her first film role in the Hammer film Vampire Circus of. It was followed by several appearances on stage, in television productions, as well as other feature films. Her most famous role was that of Romana in the science fiction television series Doctor Who. In 1980 she married actor Tom Baker. The marriage lasted 16 months. Ward wrote and illustrated several books. The illustrated her works include the nonfiction And it sprang from a river in Eden of the British evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, with whom she has been married since 1992. In 1993, she withdrew from the spectacle business, to focus more on writing and her family.
