Lao Che (band)

The Polish music group Lao Che was founded in 1999 by former members of the band Koli in Płock. A gangster from the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, stood for their namesake.

Band History

After the release of the album Powstanie Warszawskie in 2005 (Polish for " Warsaw Uprising " ), the popularity of the band enlarged rapidly. The album and the band received many awards, most recently President Bronisław Komorowski gave them the silver Cross of Merit.

Discography

Their style of music consists of multiple directions. Elements of alternative rock, crossover, punk and ska can be found as well in her pieces again, such as Ambient and folklore.
