Larysa Berezhna

Laryssa Bereschna (Ukrainian Лариса Бережна, English transcription Larysa Berezhna, also Russian Лариса Бережная - Larissa Bereschnaja - Larisa Berezhnaya, . Born February 28, 1961 in Kiev ) is a former Ukrainian long jumper.

Starting for the Soviet Union, they won at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 1989 and bronze at the World Indoor Championships in 1991 in Seville gold. At the European Athletics Championships in 1990 in Split, she finished fourth at the World Athletics Championships 1991 in Tokyo, she won bronze.

In 1992, she competed for the United Team of the CIS and won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Genoa. At the Olympic Games in Barcelona she dropped out injured in qualifying.

Starting For Ukraine, it was at the 1993 World Indoor Championships in Toronto fifth and won silver at the World Championships in Stuttgart.

In 1989 she became Soviet champion in the indoor and outdoor 1993 Ukrainian Champion.
