Lasco Lascondor

The Lasco Lascondor was a transport aircraft manufactured in Australia by Larkin Aircraft Supply Company.

History and construction

The Lasco Lascondor was built in the 1930s as an eight -seat transport and postal aircraft by Larkin Aircraft Supply Company ( Lasco ) and was the first aircraft designed in Australia with more than one engine. The development of Lascondor began in June 1928 simultaneously with the Lascoter. The two aircraft had 90 % identical components. The biggest difference between the two machines was that the Lascondor of three Armstrong Siddeley Mongoose engines and the Lascoter was driven by an Armstrong Siddeley Puma engine. As the Lascoter was the Lascondor a strutted high wing stoffbespanntem Stahlrohrrump, a non-retractable spur wheel chassis and a fully enclosed cabin for the passengers and the pilot. The Lascondor also had larger fuel tanks and a slightly longer fuselage with a redesigned cabin to accommodate an extra row of seats to be able to.
