Geography
General Information and Location
Lassnitzhoehe, 10 km east of Graz, located in the hills of Eastern Styria, the northwestern part of the Styrian hill country. History
The area around Lassnitzhoehe was once part of the Western Roman Empire, after its collapse ( AD 476 ), the provincial Roman population withdrew for the most part.

Railway

History as a spa
Due to the easy accessibility of the Grazer Dr. Günther Huber, in Lassnitzhoehe decided to build a guest house and a number of villas for the summer. Recent past
In 1995 Lassnitzhoehe was elected most beautiful flower village of Styria and awarded as the most beautiful flower market Styria in 2006, a market town in 1999 the congregation of the title after the appointment. In 2005 Lassnitzhoehe was second most beautiful flower market.
2001 celebrated community and sports club its 50th anniversary and the Kurhaus Lassnitzhoehe the 100 year anniversary. 2002 was the Trachtenkapelle look back at 50 years since its inception, which was celebrated with the blessing of the flag for the chapel. And the parish Lassnitzhoehe celebrated the blessing of two new church bells.
In summer 2007, the redesigned Market Square was given to the citizens solemnly after a short conversion time. 2008, a district heating network has been built within the community. Coat of arms
The coat of arms was granted to the church in 1969.

Lassnitzhoehe located directly on the South motorway (A2 ) and has its own exit ( 169 ) to the south of the municipal area.
The Lassnitzhoehe station is located in the north of the parish to 476 m above sea level and provides access to the Styrian Eastern Railway with hourly S-Bahn (S3 and S31 ) as well as regional Express connections to Graz and track village. The Lassnitzhoehe station is operated by remote control and has been transformed into a modern railway station with island platform and Park & Ride facility. The municipality is the ca 531 m long tunnel Laßnitzhöher.
Graz Airport is about 20 km away and easily accessible via the motorway south.
