Launchy

Launchy (from english to launch: start ) is a program for Microsoft Windows and Linux that enables access by input line web pages, links, and files. To this end, the input is checked to corresponding matches with the internal database and prior searches.

Launchy is released for free under the free GNU GPL license.

Functions

It can be processed, names of files, shortcuts, bookmarks of web browser Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox as well as simple calculations, among other URLs (the latter with autocompletion both web addresses and local files ). In addition, shortcuts can be defined for websites and programs, which include a parameter can be passed. The user can also specify which file types are recorded from which folders in the database. The program runs in the background and is accessed via a key combination.

The program is expandable with numerous plugins and skins.
