Lauperswil is a municipality in the administrative district of Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
Geography
Lauperswil is located in the Emmental and comprises 2119 acres, of which 687 ha of forest.
The municipality comprises the villages Lauperswil Lauperswil, Emmen Matt Witten Bach, Längenbach, Moosegg, Upper Matt, Mungnau and a part of the village Zollbrueck.
Economy
Tourism plays a small but not insignificant role, several typical Emmental inns offer bed. One of the most scenic restaurants of the Emmental is on the Moosegg.
The church of 1518 has still the original glass painting of the construction period. The three bells are among the oldest in the Canton of Bern ( 1250 and 1470 ).
