Le Bonhomme

Le Bonhomme (German Diedolshausen ) is a municipality with 813 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in Alsace region of France. The municipality is one of the ten members of the Association of Municipalities Communauté de communes de la Vallée de Kaysersberg.

Geography

Le Bonhomme City is about 15 km southwest of the town of Sainte -Marie -aux -Mines, and 25 km west-north- west of Colmar, at the mouth of the creek in the Bagenelles behine. The Col du Bonhomme above the village is a major pass over the Vosges, via the department of road D 415. The village is dominated by the ruins Gutenburg ( Jews castle ). The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.

The place is located in Canton Lapoutroie, which is one of the few areas of Alsace with original francophone regional language. When threatened with extinction Which (German Welsch ) or Vosgien is a Gallo-Roman dialect from the group of Langues d' oïl, which is closely related to the Walloon.
