Le Theil-Nolent

Le Theil- Nolent is a commune with 238 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Eure in the Haute-Normandie region.

Geography

Le Theil- Nolent is located in northern France in the landscape Lieuvin, 47 kilometers southeast of Le Havre, about 9 kilometers north- west of Bernay, headquarters of the sub-prefecture of the arrondissements, and 6.3 kilometers northeast of Thiberville, the capital of the canton and the Municipal Association of Canton de Thiberville to an average height of 174 meters above sea level. History

In the year 1065 gave Gilbertus Crispin ( 1046-1117 ), the village of Le Bec Abbey. The Abbot of Le Bec had the church patronage to the French Revolution (1789-1799) holds. Le Theil- Nolent subordinate to the Abbey of Bec as a barony until the 18th century. The name was first mentioned in 1183 as Tylia in a charter of Henry II, and was, according to Walther von Wartburg from the vernacular term part of the French word tilleul ( Linde ').
