Lednické Rovne

Lednické Rovne ( until 1927 slovak also " Lednica Rovné "; German Lednitz - Rowne, Hungarian Lednicróna - to 1902 Lednicrovnye - older even Rovnye ) is a large industrial community on the right bank of the river Vah in the Trenčín Region ( Okres Púchov ), Slovakia.

The municipality has 4035 inhabitants predominantly Slovak nationality. The place is first documented in 1471 mentioned as Rowne, the suffix " Lednické " points to the location on the river Lednica. The place was known by the castle. In 1892 founded here the entrepreneur J. Schreiber, a glass factory, which is still in operation today. Until 1925, there was on the left side of the river Lednica the independent place Prečínska Lehota, which was then combined to church today. Thus, the place no longer occurs as a separate district.

In the community there is a historical park with an old church ruins.

To the municipality include not only the actual place the three villages Hořenice, Hôrka and Medné. Hořenice and Hôrka were united in 1955 to the municipality Horenická Hôrka and incorporated in 1976, Medné came in 1960 to Lednické Rovne.
