Lello Arena

Lello Arena ( Arena actually Raffaele, born November 1, 1953 in San Giorgio a Cremano ) is an Italian actor.

Life

Arena was the beginning of his career, the theater group La Smorfia on ( which had been founded in 1969 as I Saraceni ), which also included Massimo Troisi and Enzo Decaro. In the late 1970s it was possible the trio to excite by their new mix of classic elements with modern alienation technique sensation and reach in several television programs like Non stop and Luna Park success with the public and the critics. In the figure constellation Arena was the eternal loser and an underdog. Soon he turned, beginning again with Troisi - the theater group was disbanded - some movies where his acting performances were also praised. In 1988, he staged Chiari di luna in its screenplay, a moderately successful romantic comedy. On television, he had next to commitment as an actor at Tele 5 and as a frequent guest on programs Maurizio Costanzo's also the sitcom Quei due sopra il varano with Enzo Iacchetti.

Further work Arenas were shooting with Raffaella Carrà, the two-year leadership of the satirical program Striscia la notizia (1995/1996) and to participate in the mini-series Luisa Sanfelice in 2004. Besides writing, he plays and staged again and again for the stage.

1983 Arena was awarded a David di Donatello for his role in Massimo Troisis Scusate il ritardo. He is married to the daughter of director Vittorio Taviani.
