Lena Müller

Lena Müller ( born June 16, 1987 in Duisburg ) is a German rower. Their biggest successes are the victory at the World Championships in 2009 and 2010 in the lightweight quadruple sculls.

Müller, 2008 was the first time a member of the German national team at the World Championships in Ottenheim they occupied in the lightweight quadruple sculls fifth place. Previously, she had won a bronze medal at the World Cup in Poznan in this class of boat.

2009 Müller started with Julia Kroeger in lightweight double sculls at the U23 World Championships and became Vice World Champion. In the final World Cup in Lucerne, she had won previously with Kroeger, Laura Tibitanzl and Helke Nieschlag the lightweight quadruple sculls. Therefore, the team has been nominated for the World Championships in Poznan, where she was able to win the gold medal. She was elected to the Hall in Duisburg Mercator sportswoman of the year the city of Duisburg on October 6, 2010. 2011 saw the launch Müller Lightweight One of the Rowing World Cup in Hamburg and finished here in second place. In the same year she erruderte in the same boat class at the World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia to the very good third place and thus erruderte bronze.

On May 24, 2012 Müller won with her rowing partner Anja Noske qualifying regatta in Lucerne / Switzerland and was thus able to subsequently qualify the lightweight double sculls for the Olympic rowing events in London. In the Olympic regatta, the two occupied the sixth place. A year later, at the World Rowing Championships 2013 in Chungju they finished third.

Mueller began initially for the Duisburg RV, since the year 2012 starts Müller for the Ulm Danube Rowing Club, where she also lives and trains since the spring of 2010.
