Let L-610

The Let L -610 is a twin-engine, manufactured in the Czech Republic passenger aircraft in the LET. The machine was the mid-1980s planned as a 40 -seat turboprop aircraft for the Soviet Aeroflot, has been adapted after the turn for the western market.

She is also a development of the twin-engine Let L -410, with the L -610 Let equipped with western components. The original version of L- 610M first flew on 28 December 1988, from 1991 the company shipped some copies to the Aeroflot. Since these are not paid in Western currencies, the supply of other machinery has been canceled and there was a new orientation to the western market.

The first flight of the modified version of L- 610G ( by working with the U.S. firm Ayres also known as Ayres 7000) took place on 18 December 1992. It commanded instead of the original two 1358 kW Walter / Motorlet M 602 three-shaft turboprop engines over two 1305 kW turbo-prop engines from General Electric CT7 - 9D with four -bladed rotor with 3.35 m diameter, as well as Collins Pro Line II avionics, autopilot and weather radar system of Collins.

On the Aero Salon 1997 in Le Bourget was the L- 610G, OK czd, presented in flight. As previously revealed no sales opportunities the project in 2006 was officially discontinued. The same fate befell the funds earmarked for the machine Walter M602 engines, of which only 34 were built.
