Leupoldsdorf

Leupoldsdorf ( with Leupold villages Hammer) is a municipality in the district of Tröstau Wunsiedel.

Geography

Leupold village is situated in the Fichtelgebirge mountains in Upper Franconia. The Röslau through the town, numerous smaller rivers have their origin. The village is surrounded by dense forest, which extends over the entire snow mountain range and must open in the direction of Wunsiedel. It lies at the foot of the plate, of a mountain, sit down on the huge granite slabs. A slightly deeper granite quarry can be seen from afar.

Between Vordorfermühle and Leupold village is the place weapons hammer, a small settlement on the Röslau. The Röslau also separates the eastern Leupold Leupold village from the district villages hammer. Next to the old castle there used to be a hammer mill.

History

Clubs

Throughout the Fichtelgebirge known is organized by the boys club Leupold villages Kirwa. In addition, the boys club takes care of the maypole. The volunteer fire department organized a well-attended annual Feuerwehrfest. An established club, the glee club, who for ten years had a children's and youth choir.

Building

The prominent building complex is the Leupold villages castle of the former Hammer Lords of Müller (now restaurant ). The manor house dates from the 17th century and 1815/16 rebuilt. It has a hipped roof with roof skylights in Baroque style; on the ground floor are rooms with tons or cross vaults. On the west side of the coat of arms of the family of Müller is mounted on the gatehouse are two arms of the Schreyer family visible.

When mounted gatehouse an info site of the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park and an exhibition about the former ownership and iron production and processing are housed since 16 October 2010.

The old Leupold villages schoolhouse is used as a function room. Today is the elementary school in Troestau, the main school with the 5th and 6th grade in nail and the 7th to 9th grade in Tröstau.

In the immediate vicinity of the hammer mansion of the former park of the hammer men was reconstructed in 2010 and now bears the name of the spa gardens.

Transport links

Leupold village lies on the county road between the B303 and White City. A local road leads to Troestau, Schönbrunn and Vordorfermühle. The road Leupoldsdorf - Hilde Hilde Bach on the mill is closed to motor vehicle traffic. The B303 combines the A 9 A 93 and is the main thoroughfare for foreign transport to the Czech Republic. Previously Leupold village had a railway station and terminus of the branch line was Holenbrunn - Wunsiedel - Tröstau - Leupoldsdorf. The line was closed; the path is partly used as a cycle path. At the former Leupoldsdorf station of the International Bridge bike path from Leupoldsdorf about Wunsiedel and self begins to the Czech Aš.
