History

The franchise was founded in 2002 as the successor of the team relocated to Lexington Macon Whoopee and took his game to operating in the East Coast Hockey League. Head Coach was Jim Wiley, who had previously led the National Hockey League team San Jose Sharks as head coach. In her only season the team for the play-offs qualified. In the first round the team defeated in three games against the Toledo Storm and was eliminated from the competition. Shortly after, the franchise was dissolved. As the successor team was created in 2005, the Utah Grizzlies.
