In Europe, the song achieved some success. It reached number 13 in the UK, Ireland No. 1 on the charts. In Switzerland, the song reached # 12 in France, 15 Place In Germany, the song went to # 23

History

Liberian Girl, a love ballad was written by Michael Jackson in 1983 and was for the album Victory of the Jackson Five in the conversation. The song starts with spoken words in Swahili: " Naku Penda pia, pia Naku Taka, Mpenziwe " ("I love you too, I also want you, my love !") These were spoken by the South African singer Letta Mbulu, even though Swahili is not widespread in southern Africa.

Music Video

To the piece a then highly acclaimed music video directed by James Yukich was filmed. Numerous celebrities waiting in the plot of the video on a film set on Michael Jackson, who is but to not see.
