Lilium cernuum is a species in the genus of lilies ( Lilium) in the section Sinomartagon.

Description

Lilium cernuum reaches a height of up to 65 cm. The onions are oblong - oval to roundish and reach a diameter of about 2.5 to 4 cm, the scales are white and lanceolate or ovate. The stem is smooth. The leaves are narrow and linear, 4-18 cm long and 1-5 mm wide. They are sessile and distributed around the stem, the leaf edges are slightly bent and papillose.

The plant flowers in July with 1-6 in a panicle nodding, strongly fragrant flowers. The hermaphrodite flowers are triple. The six arranged bloom ( tepals ) are strongly recurved ( turks composite form), 35 to 45 mm long and 8-10 mm wide. The basic color of the flowers is pale purple, pink - purple or light purple with deep purple spots towards the base. The nectaries are sealed and papillae on both surfaces. Each flower has three carpels and six stamens. The anthers are dark purple and about 14 mm long, the pollen are brick red and the filaments are about 20 mm long. The ovary is cylindrical between 8 and 10 mm long with a diameter of 2 mm. The seeds mature in round 12 to 20 mm zoom large seed pods. The seeds of Lilium cernuum germinates instant- epigeal.

Dissemination

Lilium cernuum is in the province of Liaoning native of the People's Republic of China, in Korea and in the Primorsky region in Russia.

The species grows on grassy slopes or in thickets.
