Lillestrøm SK

Lillestrøm SK ( Lillestrøm Sportsklubb ) is a football club from Lillestrøm, Norway. The club was founded on April 2, 1917 by the merger of two local clubs. Abode is the Arasen Stadium with a capacity of 12,000 seats.

Lillestrøm SK won the previous five Norwegian league title and reached five Cup victories.

History

The biggest success at European level achieved in 1977 with a 2-0 home victory over Ajax Amsterdam in the European Champions Cup. The return leg in Amsterdam, however, was lost 0:4.

On 13 November 2006, the German coach Uwe Rösler was dismissed. For him, Tom Nordlie was committed, but which announced on 29 May 2008.

In the 2007 season Lillestrøm won for the fifth time in club history the Norwegian Cup. In the final they defeated second-division FK Haugesund 2-0.
