Lindaunis Bridge

The Lindaunis Bridge is a bascule bridge that crosses the Schlei, a fjord in Schleswig -Holstein, at one of its narrowest points. The bridge thus combines the two landscapes Schwansen and fishing. The listed since 1997 bridge was opened on 17 July 1927 chain drive traffic and consists partly of steel truss, and partly from a bascule bridge. In 1975, the drive on hydraulics were rebuilt.

The special feature of this bridge is the reciprocal use by the circulating hourly regional train on the railway route Kiel -Flensburg and road traffic. In addition, the hinged part is opened to its maximum once per hour to allow ships.

The bridge is known among other things by the The Country Doctor ZDF series.

The neighboring station Lindaunis is out of service and is now operated as a restaurant.

On the track, a new one is " Electronic Interlocking Regional" built ( CBI -R ) Lindaunis whose center is ( CBI -Z), however, housed in Eckernförde station and Linda Uniser loop Klappbücke and the electronic signals on the entire section between Eckernförde and Flensburg controls ..

The signal box is currently still not in operation because there are always new problems with the registration.
