Liptovská Osada

Liptovská Osada ( until 1927 slovak " Osada "; Hungarian Oszada ) is a town in central Slovakia. It lies at the confluence of the streams in the valley Revúca and Korytnica Korytnická valley at the foot of the Great Fatra and Low Tatras, about 16 km away from Ružomberok and 40 km from Banska Bystrica.

The territory of the municipality was first mentioned in 1288, the real place but was only founded in the Goral colonization in 1649.

In addition to the main village belongs to the municipality and the spa Korytnica - kúpele.
