Lisa Hordijk

Lisa Lois ( born June 22, 1987 in Wageningen; actually Lisa Hordijk ) is a Dutch pop singer. She is the winner of the second season of the Dutch edition of the talent show X Factor, which was broadcast by the TV station RTL 4 in the spring of 2009.

Career

Hordijk is musically active since 2003. Prior to her participation in the TV show she was four years singer of the band Left Lane Lisa, who live occurred throughout the Netherlands and especially in the region around Wageningen enjoyed great fame. She also participated in a cover band with.

With the win at X Factor on 9 May 2009, she received a record deal with Sony BMG. The first single two days appeared after the final, a re-interpretation of the song Hallelujah, originally by Leonard Cohen from the year 1984. The song was only a few months previously brought by the British X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke in the UK to the chart peak. The inclusion of Lisa Hordijk was four weeks at No. 1 of the Dutch charts and reached platinum status. On 12 June 2009 an acoustic version of their song, which was produced by Giorgio Tuinfort appeared.

Lisa's debut album, Smoke, was released on 27 November 2009. Several songs on the album were written by famous songwriters such as Pixie Lott and Phil Tornalley. The second album of the singer appeared in early May under the title Breaking Away. The first single silhouette appeared in January and reached the Dutch charts, the successors single Crazy but hardly (1 wk. Top 100 # 81) and flopped.
