Lišice

Lišice ( German Lischitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north-west of Chlumec nad Cidlinou and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.

Geography

Lišice is located on the western slope of the hill Lisický Kopec (267 m ) on the East Bohemian panel. To the north rises the Vyšehrad (263 m). To the northeast lies a military compound.

Neighboring towns are Lužec nad Cidlinou and Žabí Lhotka in the north, Nepolisy in the northeast, and Strašovka Luhy in the east, Chlumec nad Cidlinou the southeast, Převýšov in the south, Lovčice the southwest, Slibovice in the west and Hlínov and Lisický in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Lišice dates from the year 1394. Lisický The settlement was later applied to the surface of the pond Bořkovec. Lišice belonged since the 14th century and the reign Žiželice came in 1571 added to the rule Chlumetz.
