List of cities in Uruguay

This is a list of cities in Uruguay.

By far the largest agglomeration in Uruguay is Montevideo with a population of 1,740,302 (as of 1 January 2005). So half the country's population in the capital region focused.

In the following table are the cities of over 10,000 inhabitants, the results of the Census ( Census ) of May 21, 1975, October 23, 1985, May 2, 1996 and July 1, 2004, and the department to which the city is listed. The population figures refer to the community in its political boundaries, without politically independent suburbs.
