List of highways in the Northern Territory
The Northern Territory is the most sparsely populated state of Australia. Despite the low number of inhabitants it has a network of well-maintained highways that connect the two largest cities of Darwin and Alice Springs, with the cities of the neighboring states. But also special attractions like the Uluru, Kakadu and Litchfield National Park are within easy reach.
A number of non- paved roads connects the remote settlements in the outback.
