For the anime television series Neon Genesis Evangelion published over 20 games for console and PC. The official adaptations come about 20 produced by fans games.
Role playing, simulations and Adventures
As the first game adaptation was released in 1996 Neon Genesis Evangelion: 1st Impression for the Sega Saturn console. The role play is about the first meeting of the characters Shinji Ikari and Asuka Langley Sohryu. The follow-up game Neon Genesis Evangelion: 2nd Impression deals with the relationship of Shinji to the specially created for the character Mayumi Yamagishi (山岸 マユミ).
1998 Shin Seiki Evangelion appeared with: Kotetsu no Girlfriend for Sega Saturn, PlayStation and PC, the first part of a series of games, the second of which was also adapted as a manga. This also appeared in Germany.
Followed in 1999, Neon Genesis Evangelion by Bandai for the Nintendo 64, the game takes place during the series and the movie The End of Evangelion. In 13 missions, the player has to fight against attacking Angel. 2003 Bandai brought the game Shinseiki Evangelion 2: Evangelion (新 世紀 エヴァンゲリオン2) for the PlayStation 2 console out. The role-playing game offers 24 missions that play during the plot of the series and some alternative or additional arcs design. In 2006, a version for the PlayStation Portable.

1999 Shin Seiki Evangelion appeared with - Eva to Yukai na Nakama - tachi: Datsui Hokan Keikaku (新 世紀 エヴァンゲリオン-エヴァ と 愉快 な 仲間 たち:脱衣 补 完 计画, dt "Neon Genesis Evangelion - Eva and serene Friends: The Strip completion project ") for Windows, the first of a series of mahjong games to the series. Shin Seiki Evangelion was followed in 2000 Mahjong Hokan Keikaku for Game Boy Color and The Stripping Project Complement Part 1 2000 and Part 2 in 2001 for Windows and Macintosh.
