List of Polish monarchs

In the third partition of Poland in 1795, the kingdom was dissolved. 1807-1815 there was the Duchy of Warsaw as a satellite state of Napoleon. Duke was King Friedrich August of Saxony, grandson of the penultimate King of Poland. At the Congress of Vienna in an autonomous " Kingdom of Poland ", also Congress Poland was called, created, in personal union with Russia. As kings of Poland, the Russian Tsar Alexander I and Nicholas I were crowned. By the November Uprising and the deposition of the dynasty of the Romanovs by the Polish Sejm, Congress Poland lost its autonomy in 1831 and was demoted to the status of an ordinary Russian province and incorporated directly into the Russian Empire. 1916-1918 was a regency Kingdom of Poland ( without a king, with dreiköpfigem Regency ) as a satellite state of the Central Powers.
