Little Caesar (Band)

Little Caesar is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles.

History

The band was formed in 1987 by singer Ron Young, and named after the fast-food restaurant chain Little Caesar's. Was completed the first occupation of the guitarist Loren Molinaire and Apache, bassist Fidel Paniagua and drummer Tom Morris. After a contribution to the Metal Blade sampler Street Survivors, the band released 1989 EP Name Your Poison. Little Caesar were taken thereupon by Geffen Records.

Under the guidance of producer Bob Rock, who has previously worked with The Cult and Mötley Crüe, the band recorded their first album. The self-titled work was published in 1990 and was ranked 478 in a list drawn up by the German magazine Rock Hard list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Because the record company operation little promotion, the commercial success was despite good reviews. Some U.S. radio stations went so far as to take the songs of Little Caesar from the program, as those responsible saw promo photos of the band.

In 1991, the guitarist Apache got out and was replaced by Earl Slick. Singer Ron Young starred in the sci-fi film Terminator 2 - Judgment Day a small role. He acted like a biker who was thrown from the lead actor Arnold Schwarzenegger through a closed window. A year later, the second studio album Influence, which was produced by Howard Benson appeared. The band reformed in 2001 and played individual concerts before in 2009 with Redemption released a new studio album. It was also the debut for guitarist Joey Brasler. Three years later the album American Dream appeared. Brasler left the band because of recurring appointment problems in January 2014. He was replaced by Joey Malone.
