Liu Hongyu

Liu Hongyu (Chinese刘宏宇, Pinyin Liú Hóngyǔ; born January 11, 1975 in Liaoning Province ) is a retired Chinese race walker.

Liu introduced on 1 May 1995 in Beijing with 1:27:30 hrs a world record in 20 km road walk on.

In the 10 km road Go won the 1998 Asian Games and was at the World Athletics Championships 1995 Eighth. In the 1997 World Cup it was in 43:56,86 min fourth in the 10,000 m track walking.

In the 1999 World Cup for the first time, the distance of 20 km was discharged. Liu Hongyu won gold in 1:30:50 hours, lying two seconds ahead of her compatriot Wang Yan. In 2001 she won at the East Asian Games gold over 20 km.

At a height of 1.64 m her competition weight was 51 kg.
