Liu Mingkang

Liú Mingkang (Chinese刘明康/刘明康) ( born August 28, 1946 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province) is the current chairman of the Chinese banking regulator, the China Banking Regulatory Commission.

Training

Liu Mingkang graduated from Peking University in economics teaching. He also earned an MBA in 1987 at Cass Business School. In 2001 he received an honorary doctorate from the City University London. Liu sits on the International Advisory Board of both the Peking University, and Tsinghua University.

Entrepreneurial activity

From 1965 to 1974 he worked as a teacher before he became a technician for state-owned enterprises Danyang Steel. In 1979, Liu (BOC ) joined the Bank of China, the Nanjing branch at.
