Liv Kristine

Liv Kristine Espenæs Krull ( born February 14, 1976 in Stavanger, Norway), better known as Liv Kristine, is the singer of the band Leaves' Eyes, solo singer, a guest musician and former lead singer of the band Theatre of Tragedy.

Career

Liv Kristine was born on 14 February 1976 in the Norwegian port of Stavanger, where she grew up also. Her younger sister Carmen Elise Espenæs, the singer of the band Midnattsol later. 1993 closed Liv Kristine on the band Theatre of Tragedy. Originally hired as a backup singer, she was alongside vocalist Raymond later equal duet partner.

In 1994, Theatre of Tragedy on their first demo tape and got a record deal. Half a year later the debut album Theatre of Tragedy was recorded with producer Dan Swanö and published in the summer of 1995. Through the contrast of dark male grunts and clean female vocals Theatre of Tragedy were a symbol and the base of the "Beauty and Beast " phenomenon of the late 1990s. Their sophomore Velvet Darkness They Fear was released in 1996.

On March 2, was released in 1998 under the name of Deus Ex Machina Liv Kristine's first solo album, which contains a piece of Paradise Lost vocalist Nick Holmes, among others, which was grandson of German TV crime series Tatort used in the sequence of Dagobert on 25 July 1999. There 35,000 copies were sold.

Along with Theatre of Tragedy Liv published in the following years Aégis and Musique.

On 3 July 2003 Liv Kristine married her longtime partner and vocalist Alexander Krull of Atrocity, whose son Leon Alexander was born in December of the same year. Together with musicians from Atrocity the band Leaves' Eyes was founded in the summer of 2003. In August 2003, Theatre of Tragedy announced their separation by Liv Kristine known due to irreconcilable musical differences.

In spring 2004, published Leaves' Eyes Lovelorn, the debut album with Napalm Records and coupled the single Into Your Light from. Their second album, Vinland Saga reached in June 2005 No. 62 of the German Media Control Charts, the decoupling Elegy spent four weeks in the singles charts, reaching number 76 their highest placement. It was theirs, including the U.S. and Australia. 2009 the DVD We came with the Northern Winds / En Saga I Belgia released and reached number 11 in the German DVD charts. The albums Njord (2009) and Meredead ( 2011).

Liv Kristine is steady guest singer on Atrocity and other bands, including Silke Bischoff, World Brand, Heaven Wood, Genius and Immortal Rites. When her best-known guest appearance can be viewed with Duet Nymphetamine Cradle of Filth, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2004 received.

On 13 February 2006 her second solo album Enter My Religion, which was followed in 2010 Skintight published. On September 7, 2012 appeared to her so far last solo album Libertine.
