Ljusdal Municipality

Ljusdal is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Gävleborg and the old province of Hälsingland and Dalarna. The main town of the municipality is Ljusdal. Through the community's kingdom roads lead 83 and 84

Geography

The community extends approximately 90 km along the river Ljusnan from north to south and from the river Ljusnan some 20 kilometers to the east and 80 km to the west. The municipality is located in the foothills of Ljusdal Scandinavian Mountains and is occupied by a forest-covered hills. In the town is also the smallest national park in Sweden, the National Park Hamra.

Economy

About nine percent of the working population is employed in agriculture and forestry, equivalent to more than four times the national average. Industrial sites are Järvsö, Ljusdal and Färila.
