Loko people

The Loko are a tribe in Sierra Leone. They speak the Niger-Congo language Loko. The majority of the Loko live in and around the capital Freetown and in the Northern Province. Much of the Loko was the Atlantic slave trade to the victim.

Economy

The Loko are traditionally farmers. The cultivation of rice, but also mango, potatoes and bananas also play an important role.
