Lonsdale is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) in Rice County in the central southeastern part of the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, Lonsdale had 3674 inhabitants.

Lonsdale is part of the CSA ( Combined Statistical Area) Minneapolis -St. Paul -St. Cloud, the extended metropolitan region of Minneapolis -Saint Paul.

Geography

Lonsdale is located just south of the Twin Cities at 44 ° 28'49 " north latitude and 93 ° 25'43 " west longitude. The city covers 7.17 km ².
