The Lord High Steward of Ireland is an Irish hereditary honorary office, the first time on July 17, 1446 ( together with the title of Earl of Waterford) by King Henry VI. by Letters Patent to John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, has been awarded and is still in the possession of the Earls of Shrewsbury. Current support is Charles Chetwynd - Talbot, 22nd Earl of Shrewsbury.
