Louis Cyr

Louis Cyr (* 1863 as Cyprien- Noé Cyr, † 1912 in Saint- Cyprien -de- Napierville, Canada) was a renowned French-Canadian strongman who experienced his career in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

His outstanding achievements were, inter alia, 500 lbs (227 kg) pull up with three fingers and carry 4337 lbs (1967 kg) on his back. According to Ben Weider, the former chairman of the IFBB, Cyr is the strongest man who ever lived.
