Louise Lawler

Louise Lawler ( born 1947 in Bronxville, New York, United States) is an American artist. She works with photographs, images and material installations.

She took photographs of works of art in the living rooms of art collectors and museums in situ, ie with their respective environments. Thus, it shows the context in which incorporated into art and how it will be staged in rooms. The first comprehensive exhibition of the artist shows 2013/14 the Museum Ludwig and recorded for the entire house.

Lawler lives and works in New York.
