Lucas Rotich

Lucas Kimeli Rotich (born 16 April 1990) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

Rotich won the silver medal in the 3,000 - meter race at the IAAF World Youth Championships in 2007 in Ostrava. At the World Cross Country Championships 2008 in Edinburgh, he finished in the junior race in third place and won with the Kenyan team in the national rankings. Two years later he reached the 18th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz. At the Bislett Games in Oslo he made in the 5000-meter run with a personal best 12:55,06 minutes.

Since 2011 Rotich also launched more frequently at road races. Making its debut on the half marathon he finished the CPC Loop Den Haag in 59:44 minutes to fifth place. In the same year he won the Falmouth Road Race and was at the Beach to Beacon 10K and the Portugal Half Marathon in Lisbon each second. In addition, he scored at the Memorial Van Damme in Brussels with 26:43,98 minutes behind Ethiopians Kenenisa Bekele, the second best time of the year in the 10,000 -meter run.
