Ludrová

Ludrová is a municipality in the northern central Slovakia with 977 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011), which belongs to Okres Ružomberok, a circle of Žilinský.

Geography

The municipality is located in the upper Považie, more precisely at the west end of the valley Podtatranská kotlina the creek Ludrovanka. South of the valley Ludrová Ludrovská valley begins in the Low Tatras. The center is located at an altitude of 565 m nm and is located five kilometers south-east of Ruzomberok ( road distance ).

History

Ludrová as a church was built in 1953 by the merger of places Sedliacka Ludrová (Hungarian Parasztludrova ) and Zemianska Ludrová (up to 1927 " Zemanská Ludrová "; Hungarian Nemesludrova ).

The village was mentioned in documents for the first time in 1376, where part belonging to the nearby town of Rosenberg is confirmed. From that year until 1953, there were two places called Villa Ludrova in the western part ( at the point of Sedliacka Ludrová ), which was one of the " streets " of the city and an eastern part, the local landowners belonged.
