Ludwig Landen

Ludwig " Lutz" Landen ( born November 6, 1908 in Cologne, † October 14, 1985 ) was a German canoeist who in 1936 won an Olympic gold medal.

Ludwig Landen won at the 1936 European Championships in canoe - kayak four over 1000 meters. Together with Paul Wevers he won the title at the German Championships in the double kayak in the 10,000 meters. Over this distance, the two also won at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, where they came ahead of the two Austrians Viktor Kalisch and Karl Steinhuber the finish line with 20 seconds.

Ludwig lands, called " Lutz", launched for the club for Kayaking Cologne. He could not swim time in his life.
