Lupon, Davao Oriental

Lupon is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Davao Oriental and is located on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has 61 723 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 21 barangays. Lupon belongs to the first income class of Municipalities of the Philippines.

The municipality of Lupon is located about 110 km southeast of Davao City and can be reached via the coastal road on the Gulf of Davao from there. The municipality covers an area of 886.39 km ².
