Lustral (band)

Lustral is a British trance project consisting of Rick Simmonds and Stephen Jones. The duo has also produced a variety of other pseudonyms such as Ascension, Chakra, The Space Brothers, Essence and The Realm and had until today 14 songs in the British charts.

Career

Simmonds and Jones are working together since 1996 in various music projects. Their first success they had in 1997 as Chakra with the songs " I Am" and "Shine", which respectively ranked 24th. 23, arrived in the UK Singles Chart. The published also in 1997 singles " Someone" (as Ascension ), "Everytime " (as Lustral ) and " Forgiven " (as The Space Brothers) also achieved chart positions. With "Home" also appeared yet another successful single under the pseudonym Chakra, the first remix project led to the creation of Above & Beyond.

The single " Everytime " was re-released in 1999, however, including remixes by Mike Koglin and Way Out West next to the original remix of Nalin & Kane. This time, the single reached number 30

In 2008, the album was released with Downtempo-/Ambient-Interpretationen Interpretations of some of their most famous trance classics. A year later, the double CD Lustral presents Trance Classics followed with a collection of original versions of their trance classics on the first CD and the ambient versions of the album Interpretations on the second CD.

In addition to her activities as a trance producer, the duo also has music for the television series The Sopranos and the film Swordfish produced. Together they have also founded in 2004 the online music service Audiojelly.com.
