Lutila

Lutila ( until 1927 slovak also " Lutila "; Windischlitta German, Hungarian Lutilla ) is a town in central Slovakia with 1334 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011), which belongs nad Hronom, part of Banskobystrický kraj for Okres Žiar.

Geography

The municipality is located in the middle Pohronie, more specifically in the basin Ziarska kotlina. A considerable part of the nearly 26 -acre community area lies in the Kremnitz mountains. Through the town of Bach Lutilský creek that receives the streams and creek Slaský Kopernický creek here flows. The center is located at an altitude of 294 m nm and is four kilometers from Žiar nad Hronom away.

History

According to the church history was around 1300 a place called Lutina that belonged to the territory of the former Holy Cross. According to other sources the place for the first time only in 1487 was mentioned as Lutilla writing. 1491 a wooden church was consecrated in 1558, a school, a parish, two chapels, a malt house and a mill are mentioned. In 1682 the village was destroyed by the Ottomans, but then rebuilt quickly. 1828 are listed 109 houses and 744 inhabitants.

Until 1918, belonged to the county located in the perch place the Kingdom of Hungary and was then Czechoslovakia and Slovakia today.

From 1980 to 1991 Lutila was a district of the city Žiar nad Hronom.
