Lützow, Germany

Lützow is a municipality in the southern part of the North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). The municipality is the administrative seat of the Office Lützow - Lübstorf, consisting of a further 15 municipalities.

Geography

The municipality is located in the headwaters of the Lützow shields in a ground moraine about 15 kilometers west of Schwerin. The Juniper Mountain south of Lützow reaches a height of 92 m above sea level. NN.

To Lützow include the districts Bendhof, Kaeselow and Rosenow.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms letter was handed over by the Minister of the Interior in February 2011.

Blazon: "Under green wave plate main, in two diagonally crossed golden swords, gold in a growing green double oak, covered with a golden plate, in an obliquely set viersprossige scaling ladder. "

Flag

The flag has vertical stripes of yellow and green. The yellow stripe takes up one -third of the green two-thirds the height of the bunting. Transport links

Located directly on the B 104, Lützow provides a convenient connection to all major cities in the surrounding area. In Wittenburg 17 km away there are connections to the Federal Highway 24 (Berlin- Hamburg). From Lützow station leave every hour trains the OLA towards Schwerin and Parchim, and direction Gadebusch and Rehna. The track was established in 1897.
