Magnus Kihlberg

Magnus Kihlberg ( born October 25, 1973 in Örebro ) is a Swedish football player. The midfielder played his career in Norway and Sweden.

Career

Kihlberg first played at Karlslunds IF and BK Forward, before he moved to Gothenburg traditional club Örgryte IS. For the club he ran under coach Karl- Gunnar Björklund in the season 1995 in the Allsvenskan and reached with the newly promoted to seventh place in the table. After he had contributed to the side of Marcus Allbäck, Henrik Bertilsson, Jozo Matovac and Svante Samuelsson in the following season as a three time scorer for relegation, he left the club in the direction of Norway.

Kihlberg was brought from coach Even Pellerud for Lillestrøm SK in the Tippeligaen. After he had been in his first year with the club in a relegation battle, go under new coach Arne Erlandsen positions in the first league area. In the 2001 he wore in 25 league games for the runner-up behind Rosenborg BK. He also reached with the team to Arild Sundgot, Arne Vidar Moen, Magnus Powell and Roger Helland the semi-finals of the Norwegian national cup. After a seventh place in the following season, he moved within Norway for Molde FK league rivals, in which his compatriot Gunder Bengtsson worked as a coach.

In the runner-up last year he came to the side of Bernt Hulsker, Arild Stavrum and Daniel Berg Hestad in 24 league games for use, but the last year's success of the club was as a table Ninth not be confirmed, so that in the course of the season Odd Berg Bengtsson replaced as coach. The season of 2006 was, however, unlucky, so he left the club after an eighth place in the table. Next stop was the Norwegian club FK Aalesunds, in which he signed for two seasons. When League freshman he played until the end of the season 22 games, where he was temporarily substitute, and scored three goals for relegation.

Again, the stay Kihlbergs lasted only one season. Before the Allsvenskan season 2008 he returned to Sweden and signed for Örebro SK. On the side of Samuel Wowoah, Kim Olsen and John Alvbåge he was one of the supports, which helped the club in the first two years to midfield places. At the Club he was promoted to captain. In preparing for the 2010 season, he injured his hand and fell out. To start the season well again, experienced the defensive player with three goals this season his most prolific season in the Allsvenskan. In addition, trained by Sixten Boström team surprised in third place and moved into the European Cup. In December 2010, club and player agreed to a contract extension by one year. Furthermore, regular in the squad but he moved into second place and was only in 13 of his 22 season games in the 2011 in the starting lineup. At season's end, he did not extend more his expiring contract.

Kihlberg played for various Swedish youth teams, but its use in the Swedish national team was denied him.
